Yes, and it's like this every four years. If Paul ran as an independent in 2004 I expect he would have handed the election to Kerry, just like Perot did to Clinton and Nader did to Bush. I wonder if that is part of his lack of willingness to do so. If he ran independent I think he could well end up giving Obama the boost he needed.

not sure that i agree.....any on the rep side are better than obama and paul's positions on foreign affairs really reveals him as dangerously naive.....of all those left i would like to see a combo of santorum and gingrich.....

To me the biggest threat to this country is internal, perhaps you and others see the danger as external. Our foreign policy has been so inconsistent and so ineffective for so long that I am not certain how it could become significantly worse.

I look at it like this:

I don't see Al Queda or Terrorists ever destroying this country.

Conversely, I do see out of control federal spending and a self-serving ever expanding Washington DC as a path to the end of our nation.

I can see where you would want a santorum and gingrich ticket,, that is almost a guaranteed win for that POS community organizer we currently have.

I can see where you would want a santorum and gingrich ticket,, that is almost a guaranteed win for that POS community organizer we currently have.

anyone on the rep side and several not running can beat obama.....conservatism when clearly articulated is a winner even today......

clearly the challenges at home and abroad are daunting and yet neither can be ignored.....the problem at home is not dc son it is we the people, we are culturally, morally, ethically, intellectually and spirtually bankrupt.....it is possible that a financial collapse could foster a renassaince....or usher in the dark ages......

Agreed. Unfortunately, DC is a reflection of who we are as a people.
