FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP)—The New England Patriots took just half a season to decide they didn’t need Albert Haynesworth(notes).

Two days after he sat out most of the second half against the New York Giants, the Patriots released the defensive lineman they obtained after his rocky two-year stay with the Washington Redskins.

In six games with the Patriots, Haynesworth had just three tackles and no sacks. His last play came in Sunday’s 24-20 loss to the Giants when left guard David Diehl(notes) blocked him to clear the way for Brandon Jacobs’(notes) 10-yard touchdown run with 9:10 left in the third quarter.....snip~

All they ever did was use him as a back-up lineman. Gave up a 5th round draft choice. Bears should jump him and throw him on the DT on the opposite side of Peppers.

Yeah the Pats have a great D line so it doesn't surprise me he didn't see the field much. Another team could definitely use him if his attitude is right.

Cutler is the only guy on that list who hasn't been publicly accused of anything. Rough stuff.

If being a Putz was a crime they'd have to arrest the entire Raider fan base

Which, come to think of it, they should probably do anyway ;)

Bears signed C Garza 2 year extension. All I know is it better not be Cailfornia Superbowl this year. I don't need to see the other boob of Janet Jackson come halftime again.

Besides U mean to tell me you would take SF over the Raiders if the Bolts were knocked out?

If it is any consolation my brutha according to the Sports World they are blaming the Bolts problems on this guy.

Plus they state he is partly to blame for Rivers Funk  ???  "What," he take All of Rivers Hygeine Cosmetics?  :D

Is he trying to say that the Rivers are funky in SD?
